Srinagar: Panic gripped a Govt.\nschool in Srinagar when a teacher got to know that whole of her family has\ntested Covid positive. In the meanwhile at least seven staff members of a\nprivate school tested positive less than a week before the school is scheduled\nto re-open on March 8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr Rubeena, Zonal Medial Officer\nZadibal, who has monitored the test drive at a private school, told local\nnewspaper Kashmir Reader that seven staff members have tested positive and have\nbeen asked to go into home isolation. They were part of the 170 rapid tests\ndone so far. Another round of tests is still on at the school, which will be\ncomplete in the coming days. It is reported that the principal of the\nschool had tested positive and then another teacher had caught infection from\nhis boss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The news has worried parents of the\naround 1200 students of the school. Since the schools have already asked\nparents to give in writing, that in case any child catches infection school\nshall not be held responsible, parents are very apprehensive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the meanwhile, sources said,\npanic gripped a Govt. school in Karan Nagar area when a teacher got to know\nthat whole of her family back home has tested positive. The sources added that\na number of Govt. schools have been clubbed and are being run in famous\nnational school in Karan Nagar area. \u201cOn Tuesday a teacher came to know that\nher family members have been tested positive. Since she had mingled children and\ncolleagues, panic gripped the school and all became apprehensive\u201d a source\nsaid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Interesting is the news that\nin Haryana, 57 cases have emerged from a single hostel of a school in the\nKarnal district of the state. Three tested positive for Covid-19 on Monday,\nwhile the rest 54 tested positive on Tuesday. Following the mass Covid-19\ninfection, classes and other academic activities have been suspended while the\nschool has been declared as a containment zone, Karnal Deputy Commissioner\nNishant Kumar Yadav said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jammu and Kashmir administration threw open the\nschools from 9th<\/sup> to 12 class resumed from 1st<\/sup> March\nalmost after a year they were shut because of pandemic. Lower classes are\nscheduled from 8th<\/sup> March.
